This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone using AvroBooks. By using the service, you agree to follow it. Where this AUP conflicts with our Terms of Service, the Terms of Service govern.
You may use AvroBooks to
- Process documents related to your own business or your clients' businesses (with their consent).
- Sync legitimate bookkeeping data with Xero or other supported integrations.
- Invite team members and external accountants who agree to follow this AUP.
- Export your own data for any lawful purpose.
You must not
- Process documents you do not have lawful authority to handle.
- Use AvroBooks to commit, facilitate or cover up financial fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, or any other illegal activity.
- Upload malware, attempt to circumvent security controls, probe our systems for vulnerabilities, or otherwise compromise the platform's integrity.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape or systematically extract our software, models or training data.
- Resell, sublicense or rebrand the service without a written agreement with us.
- Send abusive, harassing or threatening communications via our service.
- Use AvroBooks to send spam, phishing emails or unsolicited bulk messages.
- Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Attempt to influence the AI extraction pipeline through prompt injection, adversarial inputs or similar means.
- Use the service in any way that interferes with other customers' use or the availability of AvroBooks.
AI usage
AvroBooks uses AI providers (Mistral, OpenAI) to extract data from your documents. We pass document content to these providers under enterprise agreements that prohibit training on customer content. By using the service you accept this processing. If you don't, do not upload documents.
Reporting abuse
Suspect a violation of this AUP — by another user or directed at you? Email us at abuse@avrobooks.com with as much detail as you can.
Enforcement
We may, at our discretion: warn the offending account, restrict specific functionality, suspend access pending investigation, or terminate accounts that breach this AUP. Where required by law we will report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.
Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of AvroBooks after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
