What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies let sites remember things — like whether you're signed in, your language preference, or whether you've accepted a banner.

Strictly necessary
These are required for AvroBooks to function. They are set automatically when you visit and cannot be disabled in our service.

Functional
Set in localStorage rather than as cookies. Used to remember non-essential UI preferences (e.g. PDF rotation, sidebar state). No personal data.
Analytics (optional)
If you accept analytics cookies, we may set anonymous, aggregated cookies to help us understand how AvroBooks is used and where to improve it. We do not use Google Analytics on logged-in pages.
Third-party
- Google reCAPTCHA — protects our public forms (login, register, contact, password reset) from automated abuse. See Google Privacy Policy.
- Xero — only when you click Sign in with Xero. Sets cookies for Xero's authentication only.
Managing cookies
You can:
- Use the cookie banner that appears on your first visit to accept all or essential only.
- Clear AvroBooks cookies from your browser at any time — the banner will reappear on your next visit.
- Disable cookies entirely in your browser settings (note: AvroBooks won't work properly without strictly necessary cookies).

We'll update this page when we add or change cookies. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
